	March 18, 2010 Argonaut Gold Ltd. Appoints New Vice President Of Exploration, Tom Burkhart
	Toronto, Ontario, March 17, 2010. Argonaut Gold Ltd. (TSX: AR) ("Argonaut" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that Thomas Burkhart has been appointed as the Vice President of Exploration, effective immediately. Prior to joining Argonaut Gold Inc., Mr. Burkhart served as Vice President of New Dimensions (Northair Group) and Vice President of Pegasus Gold Inc. Mr. Burkhart graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology in 1979 from the University of Nevada. He has nearly 30 years experience in exploration and project management in Mexico, South and Central America, Canada, Alaska, Australia and the Western U.S. Mr. Burkhart has overseen worldwide exploration programs. His extensive work history in designing and managing exploration programs, as well as his strengths in generative reconnaissance work and property evaluation makes him a valuable addition to the Argonaut Gold team.
