Peter C. Dougherty
Position: President and Chief Executive Officer, Director
Mr. Dougherty is the President and Chief Executive Officer Argonaut Gold Inc. He served as the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Meridian Gold Inc. ("Meridian") from 2002 to 2007. Mr. Dougherty has also served as: Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller of Meridian from 1997 to 2002; IBS Financial Manager of FMC Chemicals Group from 1994 to 1997; Group Financial Analyst of FMC Chemicals Group from 1993 to 1994 and the Controller of Paradise Peak Mine, FMC Gold from 1990 to 1993. Mr. Dougherty holds a B.S. in Accounting from Southern Oregon State College and M.B.A. from Drexel University.


 
Edgar Smith
Position: Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Smith is the Chief Operating Officer of Argonaut Gold Inc. He served as the Vice President of Operations for Meridian for 2003-2007. Mr. Smith has also served as: Vice-President and General Manager of Minera Meridian Chile 2000-2003 and Vice-President of Operations of Meridian North America from 1998-2003; Vice-President and General Manager of Coeur Rochester, Inc. from 1996 to 1998; and General Manager, Royal Mountain King Mine of FMC Gold from 1988 to 1996. Mr. Smith holds a B.S. in Biology from Creighton University.


 
Curtis K. Turner
Position: Corporate Development Officer
Mr. Turner is the Chief Development Officer for Argonaut Gold Ind. He served as the Chief Financial Officer for Cyanco Inc during 2009; the Director of Finance for Yamana Gold Inc. 2008-2009; Corporate Controller for Meridian Gold Inc. from 2005-2007, and Controller at El Penon mine 2001-2005. Mr Turner holds a MBA & BA in Accounting from Utah State University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.


 
Barry Dahl
Position: Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Dahl is the Chief Financial Officer of Argonaut Gold Inc. He served as the Corporate Controller of Andean Resources (2009), the Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Hettinger Welding LLC (2007 - 2009) and the Director of External Reporting and Internal Controls of Meridian Gold Inc. (2003 - 2007). Mr. Dahl's holds a B.s. Accounting from Brigham Young University, as well as a MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. He has been granted the designation of Certified Public Accountant by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.


 
Tom Burkhart
Position: Vice President of Explorations
Mr. Burkhart is the Vice President of Exploration for Argonaut Gold Inc. He served as Vice President of New Dimensions (Northair Group 1999-2010) and Vice President of Pegasus Gold Inc.(1984, 1985-1998) Mr. Burkhart graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology in 1979 from the University of Nevada. He has nearly 30 years experience in exploration and project management in Mexico, South and Central America, Canada, Alaska, Australia and the Western U.S.
